Add multiple images (attachments) in filename sequence.

Question

Hi

I am trying to create a page with multiple screenshots, sometimes 50 or more, and have the images with filenames picture01.png, picture02.png, picture03.png, ... and so on.

Firstly, when importing them as attachments there does not seem to be any sequence and then when inserting them they insert two pictures per row but also no sequence as they appear in random order.

What method would allow of the import of many screenshots or grouping of pictures noting that there could be hundreds of pictures by the end of the doc.

I am not aware of any way to control this with the delivered product.  I believe each file opens a connection and stream with the server and whatever file gets processed first gets added to the page.

@Nicholas Morkot I'm not sure what you are trying to accomplish, but 50 images displayed on a single Confluence page seems like a lot. I think the only way you can get them to display in the order you want is to drag them on 1 at a time.

If you don't need to actually display the images on the page, you can try opening the Attachments feature for the page (… > Attachments > Files), dragging all your files there, and then inserting the Attachments macro on the page (https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/insert-the-attachments-macro/ ).

On a side note, you might want to give your image files names that help you, your collaborators, and readers identify them—in case you need to replace one with an updated version or for the aid of screen readers (if you're not adding Alt Text to each image).
