Duplicate JIRA task auto creation

Question

We use JIRA cloud, a few months ago the BA created a task for one of our devs which flowed through the board as normal.

Every morning at 9am an exact copy of this task is then created with the ticket history stating it was created by that BA.

We have tried everything we can think of to stop this happening but have no clue how or why this ticket is being created each morning. At the moment we are deleting once it gets to sizeable number of tickets but would prefer to fix the issue.

Any help greatly appreciated.

If the task is created every morning, this is most likely an automation of a scheduled event. Have you checked this?

Take a look at the following:

Project Settings > Automation

Look through the list of automation rules to see if any are configured with a Scheduled trigger. Then just read the rule details and disable it.
