How to get all the comments for a project

I am using jiraone python package and wondering if there is a way to get all comments which were updated/added in the last few days and need some suggestions.

 

At first, I thought the change log will give me everything that I need when I use like 

jql = "project in (XYZ) AND updatedDate >= 2023-03-29 order by created DESC "
PROJECT.change_log(jql=jql)

But it is not and I'm confused why.

 

Then, I tried 

 

PROJECT.get_total_comments_on_issues(jql=jql, file='comments.csv')

It gives me an error test user not found. Can someone please guide me how to extract all the change log with all the comments for the project/issues.

There is no way to get a list of all the comments using JQL.  You could use JQL to identify the issues with new comments and then use the API to pull back comments from those issues.  https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/jira/platform/rest/v3/api-group-issue-comments/#api-rest-api-3-comment-list-post
