Where to start: Admin training or jump right into Workflow training

I've been given Jira admin responsibilities (with no training) and can see how workflows for kanban or sprints can really help improve our current processes. However, I've been struggling with getting workflows to work. Would you recommend I take the admin courses first to understand 'under the hood' workings of Jira, or can I just jump into the $39 workflow training I saw posted earlier. I need to get our workflows working properly ASAP!

I'd recommend to start with the documentation and to try with a test project. E.g.:

Create and manage issue workflows and issue workflow schemes

Define the lifecycle of your work and learn about issue workflow schemes and the issue collector.

• Add and delete an issue workflow
• Edit an issue workflow
• Manage issue workflows
• Work with issue workflows
• Import and export issue workflows
• Configure advanced issue workflows
• Configure issue workflow schemes
• Features in the workflow editor’s Early Access Program (EAP)
• Use the issue collector
• What is a temporary workflow?

The admin trainings are great and it may be better to understand how Jira works as a whole system. That said,  I'd recommend to have some hands-on experience when you take it as the information can be a little bit overwhelming.
