Sprint are visible in different projects

Question

Hi,

I have multiple projects in use but sprints are used actively for 2-3 projects.

Let's say Sprint #1 is created for project 1 and sprint#2 is created for project 2.

Now Sprint#1 is visible in both the projects i.e. project 1 and project 2 but sprint 2 is visible only in project 2.

Have verified that. both the sprint id's are different, have verified that queries is correct and also, no task or ticket of different project is added in wrong sprint.

A sprint will appear in any Scrum Board that includes issues that have been assigned to the sprint. Example:

Scrum Board 1 Filter Query:

project in (XYZ, ABC) order by Rank desc

Scrum Board 2 Filter Query:

project = XYZ order by Rank desc.

In Scrum board 1 create a sprint named "Board 1 Sprint". At this point that sprint shows only in Scrum Board 1.

Assign an issue from project ABC to "Board 1 Sprint". At this point that sprint still shows only in Scrum Board 1.

Assign an issue from project XYZ to "Board 1 Sprint". Now the sprint appears in both Scrum Board 1 and Scrum Board 2 because both boards include the issues from project XYZ. An issue can be in only one Active or Future sprint at a time, so for a given board Jira will show the Active and Future sprints for all issues within the scope of the board, even if the sprints themselves were created in other boards.

Hi @ishan11191 ,

please go to the board settings of Project 1 and check "Shares" section in which you can define the context of your board. That section should contains just project 1.
