Can't modify fields for bug type screen

Question

I recently created a specific screen for users who create new bug tickets. And I need to modify the contents of the description field, but I can't find where to do that. It's not a custom field either. Please help

Hi @Lani and welcome to the community!

This is a common question/complaint that you can't set default text in a system field.  The only way to handle this without a marketplace app is like this:

* Create a custom field that acts as the description on the create screen
* Create a Bug create screen that includes the custom field created in step 1
* Assign the new create screen to the screen scheme with the create action

From here, you would use a simple automation to populate the Description with what was captured by the custom field at issue creation:

* TRIGGER: Issue created
* ACTION: Edit Issue (Description)* {{issue.YOURCUSTOMFIELD}}
