Cloning a Story and Creating a story

Question

Are cloning and creating the same functionality or is it different in the background?

I ask because when I create a story to fire off automation it works but with a story that is cloned does not.

I am trying to get my logic to work with the cloned story that is being created by logic in one project that then clones a story for a different project.

In this case I think that you are "moving" The issue.

Try with the Trigger When: "Issue moved" in the Autoamtion of the Project Where the issue is cloned.

Yes - So On Project 1 I do the cloning when an action is triggers

On Project 2 where the clone story is being sent to - I have it assign a sprint once created.

It doesn't fire that trigger on the story creation.

I ended up just sending the Sprint across in the initial clone statement.

Do you have the automation actived for these two projects?
