Why am I getting an Internal Server error trying to populate a field in a transition?

I'm pretty sure I succeeded doing this in an issue, but not anymore. I tried myself and another value. Both entries invoked a name that I selected.

A different custom field I had set in a post action was the cause, although I don't yet know why.
