Auto-fill fields immediately while filling the create form

Question

Hi all,

We want to have a feature that when a customer is selected using a drop down list, the customer contact, address, and phone number fields, will auto-populate based on the Customer fields input.

I understand that we can probably do this when automation or workflow post function, but if we want these field be auto-filled immediately while filling the create form, not after click the create button. Is it possible?

It's like when we call to a bank service number, the agent would ask for your ID, and at the same time the agent would type the ID on Jira create form, then we hope the customer's info (name, phone number...etc.) will be brought in when entering the ID, so that the agent can continue to fill in other fields.

Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks.

The url is basically a link containing json. So you need to setup the file accordingly in respect to the id, name and the other fields.

Thank you for sharing the video. I learned a new feature of JSM, we can have data from outside with data connection.

After we choose the item(pretend it is ID number), and how can we set to let the two following fields be auto-filled with with the customer's name and email.

Also, if we want it on Data Center, do you have any ideas?
