for XRAY Add-on how can we get the count of test executed under same test execution

Question

For the Test case which executed in multiple iteration under same test execution. how can we get the count which explain the test case has been executed N number time under same test execution.

example: TC got failed in first iteration and re-executed after some time and got passed it should show 2

Could you describe how you do the re-run?

As far as I know a TC can only be "really" executed once within a test execution. It also makes sense from my point of view as a test execution is related to a dedicated setting/version/configuration. As soon as you change a config/version the test execution would not deliver real transparency anymore. So If you have to make a change for tests to succeed I would recommend to re-create the test execution (I do not only recommend this from a tool perspective but also with my long year experience as a test manager to have clear data about the process of testing and which execution was done with which config).

Usecase is, while a Tester execute any TC, because of some data/ Environment issue TC got failed. he resolved the Data/ Environment issues and re-run the same. so ideally he has executed same TC twice. so test run should should show 2 runs, but it doesn't show it.

so is there anyway we can populate the iteration of Test runs under same test execution ?

as far as I got you right in xray speaking you mean „TestRuns“. (a test run is an instance of a test case that is generated when the test is executed)

In order to provide a propper solution could you please describe your use case? What is the requirement behind? Where and when would you like to get the number of test runs? What should happen with this information?
