When viewing a list of stories in the backlog, the story name, priority, ID and epic are displayed.
We want to display labels here as well. Can these fields be customized?
In order to get Labels (or any field displaying) you have to adjust the "Board Configuration". Only the Board Administrator can do this, so if you do not have this access you will have to ask whoever manages the board to make this change. The steps are as follows:

To achieve this action follow these steps:
1) Go to your Jira backlog and click on the "Columns" button in the top right corner.2) Scroll down to the "Labels" option and make sure it's selected.3) Click "Save" to apply the changes.
Now when you view your backlog, you should see a column for labels, displaying the labels associated with each story. If you don't see the labels column, you may need to adjust the width of your screen or scroll to the right to view it.
@Hitesh
There is no Columns button in the top right corner for Backlog screens on Agile boards (Scrum and Kanban) for Software projects for either Team managed or Company Managed projects.
Can you provide a screen image of the screen you are referencing?
@Trudy P Claspill
I am talking about the Columns list in all issue filter view. You can add additional fields using that.
That is different than what the original questions was asking for. Your solution is using the Advanced Issue Search which is different from a Boards Backlog, which is where the user is trying to see the label.
@Pablotime
This answer is the right answer for your question.
Indeed. Thanks!
