Creating an automation rule to copy a field value from an Initiative to their Epics

Question

I need to pass a custom field value from Initiatives to their respective Epics (children) when that field is updated.

I do not have the option of a plug-in.

I have reviewed the similar questions and answers on this channel, but haven't seen an answer that works.

The "For Epic (parent)" only works for the issues under an Epic.  In order to get the children of an Initiative you have to JQL for "Parent Link" = {{issue.key}}

Here is how I would setup the Automation.

* Trigger should be to monitor for the Custom Field
* Add a condition to make sure this is only being monitored on Initiatives (this will ensure that if the fields gets modified on other issue types you won't go down to an unintended level
* Use a Branch Rule and choose JQL.  Set the JQL to "Parent Link" = {{issue.key}} and issue type = Epic.  This will find all the linked Epics and modify each with your next action
* Edit Issue, Select the custom field and use the following syntax {{triggerissue.customfieldNameOrId}}

Could you try an Automation set up as follows, changing the field in the first section and also adding an Action under the branch "For Epic"
