How to automatically set start date of a parent based on the subtask start date?

I tried to add a rule that is the same as with the due date field and it failed.

Please help me with all the steps (including screenshots) of the rule process

We'll need a bit more understanding on this:

What level of hierarchy are you talking about?
- Sub-Task updating its parent
- Story/Task/Bug updating its Epic
Frequency of the rule
- One time when the first child start date is set
  - If the first child issue's start has changed, does the parent sync up to the new start date?
- Updated any time a child issue start date has been set/updated

Ok - You'll want something like this:

TRIGGER: Field Value Changed (Start Date)
CONDITION: Issue Type = Sub-Task
BRANCH (Parent)
- Edit Issue (Start)
  - Copy from Trigger Issue
