Assets API C#

Question

Guys and girls!

I have a question.. Any of you have any experience in getting data out of the assets REST API? 
I am looking for the smartest/best approach to parse the data from the different objects to be used in other applications.

I am using C# but if you have experience in another language, please let me know :)
