Possibility to import Data from Excel in Jira

Question

I have an Excel Sheet from my customer, where all relevant information is in.

I want to transfer this Data in different tasks Jira.

How is it possible to tell Jira, to import the data of field X in excel in a specific field in a task in Jira?

Yes, this is possible.

Save the Excel file in the CSV format, then using the CSV Import functionality.

You can import the data from your Excel sheet into Jira by exporting the data you want to transfer to a CSV file. In your Jira project, go to Filters > Advance issue search, and select the issues you want to export. Select Columns and select the fields that you want to keep for the export. When you’re ready, click Done. At the top-right hand, select Export > Export Excel CSV (all fields) if you want to export all issue fields, or choose Export Excel (current fields) to export only the fields you chose. You can use the CVS as a template by leaving the headers and modifying the actual data before importing it. Then, go to Filters > Advanced Issue search > (), and select Import issues from CSV. Choose the CSV file you want to use and click Next. Now you need to follow the wizard. Once the import is completed, you’ll be able to see the list of ideas in your project.
