How to create components

I am new to JIRA. And I need to create components.  But I am not able to find it anywhere.

As per help section it should come under Project Settings, but I don't see it there. Not under issue types not under Board.

Its a team managed project and I have admin role.

Team-managed projects (Next-Gen) dont have components. Here is the suggestion to add the feature
