According to e.g. https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/collaborative-editing-858771779.html#Collaborativeediting-Whatareunpublishedchanges , there should be a "unpublished changes" lozenge appearing next to the pages I have worked on where my changes have not been published.
Well, it does not...until I actually open the page!
That is super annoying. Tried on Chrome and Firefox.

The article that you are referring to is for data center and server deployments. Unfortunately on the cloud, it won't add unpublised label in the list view
