Hi,
If a ticket status is transitioned to DONE status I want to restrict users transitioning again back to previous states.
How to proceed. Kindly assist.
Thanks,
Pradeep
Hi @Gnanabaskar ,
If you want the transition from DONE to other status but only for few people like project admins, then you need to add "Permission Validator" to the workflow transition. There you can select which project permission can transition the ticket.
To know how to add a validator, go through https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/configure-advanced-issue-workflows/#Validators
Hello @Gnanabaskar
For restricting the transitions from DONE to any other status, you need to ensure that the workflow does not have any such transitions.
Atlassian documentation for workflows is available here.
Hope this helps.

Hi @Rilwan Ahmed ,
I want to restrict users from transitioning from Done status again to Backog or any other previous states.
@Gnanabaskar ,
Go to your workflow, edit and click on diagram mode. Click on the transition from Done --> Backlog, click Delete transition and publish workflow.
Please note:
1. Save a copy of workflow when it asks for2. If the workflow is used in multiple projects, changes will be applied for all project and issues types where the workflow is used. 3. If its a re-used transitioned, then all related transitions will be removed. You have to create the required transitions manually.
Can you show us your current workflow?
If you current workflow has Global Transitions (arrows between "All" and a status) you will have to delete those transitions to prevent transitions from Done to other status. By definition a transition like that allows changing from any workflow status to the status the arrow points to.
You would then have to add transitions for the changes you wanted to allow.
