Add task to newest active sprint using automation

Hello,

We run Sprint iterations and can have multiple Sprints open at once. Currently there is automation set up to add high priority tasks to the active Sprint.

 

The issue is Jira is adding the task to the oldest active Sprint instead of the newest active Sprint.

 

How can I achieve this in Automation with or without using JSON?

When you are setting the sprint for the crated task are you using smart values or the Active sprint option? The smart value {{sprint.id}} should get you the Id of the sprint that triggered the automation.
