What would be the way to go to report on the content of our assets?

Currently looking to the following setup:

• Object schema: CMDB
  • Customer
    • Server
    • Database
    • Services (selection from services)
    • .....
  • Services
    • 24x7
    • Security assesment
    • .....

Every month we need to deliver a report to each customer about what is registered in the CMDB (and send an invoice about that).

What is the best practice to report from the CMDB?

If you're still looking for options, you can take a look at the following:

• There are apps on the Marketplace helping to manage assets in Jira and build reports on them;
• It is also possible to build any of assets reporting in Power BI/Tableau. 

If you're open to consider this option, take a look at our integration apps: Power BI Connector for Jira / Tableau Connector for Jira. Both of them allow to export Assets data to the relevant BI tool for further report building.
