Directing login information to use Confluence as knowledge base

Hello,

We are planning to use Confluence as an online user manual or knowledge base for our own software. So the plan is, end users will login to our solution with their own credentials which do not have any relation to confluence part. When they click on the "help" button, page will redirect to confluence without asking additional login information. 

Only constraint here is we do not want to open confluence to public access. It should be reachable only via our user interface.

Any suggestion is welcome.

welcome to the Atlassian community!

If you don't want public access, a user need to provide user and password when he land to your confluence site and you can't avoid that.

The only workaround that I see is to call an authentication api using an internal user (https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/confluence/basic-auth-for-rest-apis/) and then redirect to your confluence site. In this way, any user will use a fake user to navigate your instance. Please, provide read only permssion to that user.
