Use date from the Forms

Question

Good morning,

We have set up a JIRA Service Project. In that project, we are using forms for e.g. request for a taxi, lunch, dinner and other service-related items.

Now is my question, I want to use that data from the form how often (example) a taxi is ordered.

Does somebody know if this is possible?

Unfortunately, out of the box you can't do that. In addition your sentence "how often", doesn't really reveal the length of time over which you need to measure the frequency. Is it by day? By hours? By minutes?

One thing you can do out of the box is a count by using a gadget on the dashboard. You simply define the JQL and the issues you want to count and Jira does that automatically. TO be more precise you can write a JQL e.g.:

"Request Type" = "Taxi Request" and created >= startOfMonth() and created <= endOfMonth()

The above will give you all request types created during the current month.

If you really want to know frequency you can:

* Export data to excel and manipulate them to get  the frequency
* Search the marketplace for an app
