Automate checklist selection to generate user tag

Hi everyone - Automation newbie here.

Have Jira Service Desk with request type that contains a form which includes a checkbox like this:

Agreement type

• Type 1
• Type 2
• Type 3

 

I'm looking to assign each checkbox to a specific user and have that user be tagged in the ticket created upon form submission to be notified that they are required to perform review of agreement.

Example:

Request ABC1 submitted with form completed --> Agreement Type 1 selected in form --> John is assigned to review Type 1 agreements --> So John is notified that he should review request ABC1

In order to do that you would have to link the question in the form to a Jira field, automation cannot access data within the form at the moment, this should change once the form API is released. Currently it is scheduled for Q1-Q2 2023 according to the public roadmap.
