Another board in project to show Bug Issue Type Only

Back Story : 
I have Scrum board on my project. Now the project continue and developing some bugs along the way.

Need :
I want to create another kanban board in the same project, but only show BUG issuetype only in this board. I try quick filters, but it cannot be set as default for everyone.

Hi Michael,

You'll need to modify the Board filter query under Configuration to fetch only BUGS.

e.g. Project = ABC and Issuetype = BUG

Create a Kanban Type board in the same project.

So here’s what you’ll want to do to accomplish this:

* Create new board – Click on the Board drop down and select ‘+ Create Board’
* JIRA will display the Create a Board window
* Click the Create a Kanban Board button
* JIRA will display 2 radio button options
* Select radio button – Create Board from an existing project and click NEXT  
* JIRA will display Name this board window
* Name the board – make sure it’s in the correct project and location – click CREATE BOARD
* New board will inherit the project filter (same backlog and active board)
* Now change the Board Filter Query by going into this new bug tracking board and select *BOARD Settings*
* Jira will display the setting page for your board
* Go to general > In the Filter section click on EDIT FILTER QUERY
* JIRA will display the Issues/Filter page. Edit the filter using any field/parameter you like (except project-keep the default). In your case, the only parameter you’ll update is selecting the issue type = Bugs.
* Click SAVE

That’s it, you’re done. Now you can toggle between boards/backlogs and see the appropriate issues.

But keep in mind that if a issue changes status it might behave differently in the boards depending on the board configuration you have, so double check if your statuses for your issue type bug workflow are mapped correctly to the kanban board columns you’re using.
