migrate from free jira cloud to company Jira Cloud

Question

HI I am running a project in free Jira cloud until my company agrees extra funding to add more licenses into theirs. At this point is it possible to migrate my project into the company one as i really do not want to re-create everything again?

Thank you in advance

Brian

Hmm ...

From your question I was assuming that your company did not have a site running yet. Yes, you should be able to migrate your project. There is a Jira cloud to cloud migration assistant available to help you migrate between existing sites.

ah ok, so a no go then as

* not upgrading mine as only one project running that i want to move
* Company has multiple projects running

Hi @Brian McFarland and welcome to the Community!

There's basically 2 options here:

* you can choose to upgrade your current cloud site to a paid plan. How easy/complicated that may be, depends on the url you chose for the site and if you created it with a personal or a company account.
* Assuming that your company site will be empty when it gets created, you can backup your existing site and restore it entirely into the new, paid site. That way you start with everything you already have in your current site.

Hope this helps!
