How to import/export selected issues between instances of Jira

Hello

I am in the process of setting-up a new instance of Jira On Demand, as an issue tracking system for a large IT project. Our organisation has a different instance of Jira (hosted by a 3rd party) which is well-established, also for issue tracking on various IT projects.

In the future it may be necessary to move issues between instances of Jira (in both directions), because there is an overlap in the IT projects covered.

Can you advise as to the best way to do this please?

Thanks! Is this a chargeable service? If so does this mean there is no way to do this as part of Jira itself?

You are right. This is a thrid party product. JIRA doesn't offer this functionality.
