Is it possible to take data from Jira and import into Cofluence as a Gantt chart?

It is possible if you use additional plugins.
Our company develops the Table Filter and Charts for Confluence app, so I can confirm that you'll be able to create a Gantt chart right on your Confluence page using the standard Jira Issues macro.
