Set restriction for specific issue type

Question

Hi there,

If I created a project and 5 issue types A,B,C,D,E inside this project.

And inside this project, I would like to set restrictions for each one, for example, issue type A,B,C are open for everyone, D can only be seen by group D, E can only be seen by group D,E, is that possible to do that? If yes, could you guide me how to do it?

Welcome to the community !!

You can achieve this by making use of Issue Security and automation rule.

i.e. Go to project setting --> Issues --> Security

Create a security scheme for each Issue type and its users/groups.

Once this is created, go to project settings --> Automation --> Create rule

New trigger == Issue created
New condition == JQL condition , Example: Issuetype =Task. Create different condition and action for each issue type in you project
New action == Edit Issue , select Security Level field  and from the drop down select the required security Level setup for Task

Hi @Jack Yang ,

Issue security schemes is the easiest way, although some plugins may have more extensions.

By the way, it may be easier to manage different issueTypes in different projects. Aggregating them into one project may not be the best option.
