Layout in the Jira Cloud kanban board for the 'WIP' status is not behaving as expected.

Hi Team,

The Layout in the kanban board for the 'IN PROGRESS' status is not behaving as it was expected in Jira Cloud.

PS: We have set the range of min 3 and max of 5 tasks for the 'IN PROGRESS' status tab, the layout color is not in the sync with the range set.

I have attached the screenshots of Cloud instance and the Data Center instance behaviour.

Adding to Tim's thoughts...What are you seeing that does not work as you expect?

For example, the first screen image shows 17 issues in the column and so that exceeds the maximum limit of 5 issues.  Even though a quick filter is apparently selected, that does not impact the fact there are 17 issues in the column.

Hello,

Your screenshots look correct. If you go above the Max number of issues in the column you will get the red indicator. The Max setting will not block issues from moving through the workflow.
