When I update the URL of the product, the old URL is still redirecting to the new one.
I wonder how long does it take for the old URL to be released so I can reuse it as the site for a different organization?
You should reach out to Atlassian support to release. I don't think there is a definitive term but they can answer.

I have the same question, I would love to know if there is a defined time limit when the old URL will be active.
