Excluding branch in gitlab from updating the status of jira ticket.

I have integrated Jira with Gitlab and for every new feature branch(HIT-41212) created in gitlab with JIRA issue it is updating the jira ticket status. But when i am creating another sub-feature branch(Hotfix-HIT-41212) from my feature branch(HIT-41212) it is again updating the status in jira ticket.

Is there any way by which i can exclude my sub-feature branch (Hotfix-HIT-41212) from updating the Status of Jira ticket.
