Cannot create an issue from and sprint board

I recently activated the sprints feature in one of our projects, and I noticed the +Create Issue button which used to appear on hover in the column boards does not appear anymore.

The project is question is a team-managed project.

Is there a way to allow creating issues directly from the board in to the current sprint?

welcome to the Atlassian community!

Please verify that you are administrator or member for that project. If you are a viewer you correctly can't create issues.

If so, create issue should appear on your board :

I am an administrator, and this only started after I enabled the sprints feature. Before that I was able to create issues from the board.

ok @Eli Blitz , so you should be able to create issue from a backlog and not on the sprint status view
