Can components have their own JIRA project?

Question

In our work we deal with pipelines and the pipelines run applications. We have JIRA projects for each app, and one for the pipeline. The pipeline project list the apps as components, but there is no way I can see to to specify that the component has a JIRA project. Am I missing something?

No, there is no way to specify that a Component in one Project is represented also as a separate Project.

Components live inside the Project and that too Company managed Projects!!

Components are used for grouping issues and having a lead
