Automation vs Global Automation vs Multi-Project Automation

I am currently assessing the standard and premium version of Jira Service Management,

I am a bit confuse on how to determine if my automation I am planning is
counted as Automation or Global Automation or Multi Project automation.

What is the key difference and how to determine?

As you can see:

Single project is Automation at project level
All projects is Global automation
Multiple projects or Project type is Multi Project automation

Automation are rules that are set up on Project level and can be managed by Project Administrators
Global automation are rules that apply to all projects and are managed by Jira Administrators.
Multi-project automation are rules that are applied to multiple projects and are also managed by Jira Administrators.

What executions count towards my usage?
- All multi-project and global rule executions will count towards your usage.
- Multi-project rules are rules that automate tasks or processes that affect more than one project, while global rules automate across all projects in your instance.
- One exception to this is the cross-product Issue create action. For example, if you want to create an issue in Jira Software based off an event in Jira Service Management – this will count as a single-project rule, not a global rule.
What doesn’t count towards my usage?
- Single-project rule executions do not count towards your usage. A single-project rule is a rule that automates a task or process that only affects one project.

So, if a rule is shared by multiple projects, then it is treated the same way as a global rule - which it counts against your execution count allowed based on your subscription tier.
