Auto update previosly configured automation task(from Jira Service Management to Software project)

Question

I would like to update a previously created task with automation when its assignee changes. here is the workflow:

1- When ticket comes to the service desk,i will assign to a team member.

2- Jira automation creates a task in a software project (this works fine)

3- for example i noticed i accidentaly assigned wrong team member. I re-assigned another team member.

I want previously configured task in software project to be updated. But what i ended up is jira creates 2 different task(assigned different members) with same name in software project.

Any solution ideas how to overcome this ?

The trigger must be fired when assignee is created for queue's. Otherwise, every issue in queue in service desk, will be default task for software project.

For the 2. >> Update is tricky yes, i could not find it how to do that.

Change trigger to "Issue created" this way it won't create another issues.

But to do this, you would need two different rules.

1. First one will create ticket in a software project

2. Second one will update Assignee on corresponding issue whenever you change it on service desk (but to be fair, I am not sure if it is possible to achieve using Jira automation).
