Validation of CSV import is abnormally slow

I am trying to import a CSV into JIRA. The validation phase seems to be abnormally slow, still only at 12% after ~15 minutes. I attempted to validate the same CSV last week which took < 1 minute.

I also have this issue. Trying to validate 600 issues is taking several hours...
