Next link from CQL Search REST API throwing error 404

When making a call to next link retrieved in response of API , 404 is returned

API used - 
https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/confluence/rest/api-group-content/#api-wiki-rest-api-content-search-get

We are able to traverse 80+ batches following the next link.
On one of the next links -

we are getting 404 with response

We are unable to traverse further.
The expectation is to only find latest version of the content.
How do we make progress?
