I want to notify the user in a direct message when the approval request needs to be approved by the user. I'm currently using email notification, it's working perfectly but we want to notify users in slack.

Currently there's no method to send approvals via Slack through the Atlassian-provided integrations. However, work has recently started on JSDCLOUD-11457 to make this happen with the Assist Bot via Slack direct message. You can follow the link and Watch that issue for updates!
