How do customer login, once he is added to jira as a customer

Question

I have added customer "tina.fernandes" in project "card operations" which is under jira service management.

Now when customer opens the link for help desk, he is asked to enter credentials. As this user doesn't have any password setup yet how do he enter any credentials?

I think I know what it is. There are two ways to create an account, let me explain shortly.

- Customers can create an account themselves. Go to the project > project settings > enable "Anyone allowed on the customer access settings"

- Customers cannot create an account, you have to send an invitation mail. Go to project > project settings > customer notifications > enable "Customer invited". This should automatically send an invite to the customer you add in your project.

Which link does the customer open? The customer should only be able to access

<domain>.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portals

He will be able to create an account from there.
