How do I enforce for a JIRA to pass for TODO state when moving it from BACKLOG to INPROGRESS

Hi, I got the following problem:

In our scrum board we got the TODO column with the states BACKLOG and TODO. When we drag the Jiras to the INPROGRESS column I would like if they are in BACKLOG state to be moved to TODO state before being changed to INPROGRESS state.

I am not sure I am making my point clear here...

Hi Javier - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

You should change your workflow to not allow an issue to move from Backlog to INPROGRESS directly then. It should just go from Backlog to TODO and then from TODO to INPROGRESS.
