I want a field to be Read-only in transition screen in jira. can it is possible ?

In the before transition, value of a custom field is copied to this field (Say Submit Date), and wanted to display the "Submit date" value in the next Transition Screen which should be a ready only.

Can you provide a bit more information on your "Read Only" field?  What are you going to use this field?
