I am trying to create a first customized workflow but it is not allowing me to create one after watching multiple tutorials online.
Can someone help ?

What are the symptoms of "not allowing me to"?
Without any information on what is blocked, the only guess I can make is that you are not an administrator, so the option for new/edit workflows does not exist for you.
