How to Create a Team scrum board for the different Project members

Question

HI Team,

We are using Jira for our projects and we are using the separate projects dashboard and scrum boards for the each project.

We have 10 members team and each member is working on the different projects and we want to track all the team members active tasks at one place under the scrum board

Can you please suggest how to create the scrum board for this

Hi @kishore chava

As @Fabian Lim mentioned, BigPicture can support you in managing cross-project boards. The Board Module in BigPicture is a powerful tool to visualize and highlight new feature delivery dates and cross-team dependencies.

The Board Module is very helpful during planning sessions as it can show capacities across different teams. But there is much more the Board Module can help you with. For example, it can boost the way you monitor execution thanks to its built-in reporting features and various progress bars that will help you and your team stay on track. I would add that there's a fundamental problem with this part of it:

>a Team scrum board for the different Project members

Boards have a strong equivalence with Team (heck, Jira Align actually defines "team = those using a board"), so you wouldn't normally want to create many boards for different parts of a team.

@Fabian Limhas the right solution, but there are a few things you must be aware of when you collect projects in one board:

* The roadmap will shut down if you add data from more than one Jira Project.
* Scrum features, like creating sprints, stop working if you add generic fields to bring in without a specific project attached to it. There is a hard limit of 5000 issues that will actually shut the backlog down if you hit it.
* Active sprints - Hard limit of 500 subtasks that will shut down this feature if you hit it.

Regardless of your setup, every project will be able to define what fields they use from the list of fields you define and they can change the placement of these fields, making multi project setups confusing if not controlled.
