Hiding the term "Software Project" on a Scrum Board

Question

I am using Jira for Scrum in a high tech setting.  It is not a software project, but I am using the software project template.  The Teams keep saying, "we are not building software, so we don't know if we need to be doing scrum!"  Every time we bring up the project\board it says "Software Project" at the upper left which tweaks the Team.  Can we change the term on the screen somehow?

Hi @Kirk Gould

I don't work for Atlassian so feel free to put the request yourself and see if people would vote for it: https://confluence.atlassian.com/support/implementation-of-new-features-policy-201294576.html

Well please tell your Product Owner, that to promote Jira outside of Software, they may want to remove that phrase.  Effort? (A few hours) Revenue Opportunity...LOTTTSSS!

Hi @Kirk Gould

Welcome to the community!

Unfortunately, there are no settings to change the name of it.
