how to mange and monitor the tasks given users

I have just created an account and invited my work teammates, but I cannot assign them tasks and monitor them. Could anyone help me how to do so.

Are you using Confluence and trying to mention them on a task? In order to do so, you need to add them to the Confluence instance. Have you added them?
