Unable to parse datetime: using the date format pattern: dd/mmm/yyyy hh:mm

Hi,

I've seen this issue posted many time and exhausted all options with regards to peoples responses so here goes...

I'm in Jira Cloud Service Project (Service Management).  I have a custom field, Date Time Closed which I'm trying to populate using the CSV import method.

In Excel the format of the date time fields reads 'dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm'.  When I use the CSV importer and set the Date Format to 'dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm' I get the following error: "Unable to parse datetime: 27/Feb/2020 12:53 using the date format pattern: dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm".

I have tried setting the Date Format to 'dd/MM/yyyy hh:mm' but get the same error.

I cannot see the issue with this as I have matched the date formats.

Am I missing something?

Hi,

I think that i am having the exact same problem and tried several date settings and the map values option.

Am I at the correct place to address this issue?

I would open a new question and just reference this one if needed.

Based on the error message it sounds like you have a required field that is causing the import issue.

Apologies for the late reply.

I managed to get past this issue by altering the format as suggested but then encounter another so not sure if its worked or not.  The new issue is that instead of updating an existing ticket it uses the default Request Type (email) instead of the Technical Support Request Type.

So I mapped the specific issue key thinking it will definitely update the existing record but his fails with the error "Unexpected failure occurred. Importer will stop immediately. Data may be in an unstable state: At least one given IssueParentAssociations must not be empty!"

It's quite infuriating to simply update an existing ticket.

Not sure what the protocol is here, should I close this question and raise another?
