Hi there,
Is there a way in Jira that you can configure the system so a user can only see their specific project and not all projects in the Jira instance? I have a group of project managers and teams that only want access to their specific projects/boards/issues and do not want to see the work on other projects/boards/issues that are not under their purview or assignment? Please advise if you have time or have come across this issue in your environment. Thank you!
Hi,
access to projects is controlled by the permission scheme specifically by the browse projects permission. The best way how to do it is usage of a project role and then assign users to a specific project role.
If you have some users who can access more than one project, use group instead and grant the permission to this group - for example there is the jira-administrators group who are connected to administrators project role.

@Marek Soukup Perfect, thanks a million!
Hello all,
To tag onto the information provided by @Marek Soukup I just wanted to make sure to pass along some additional resources to expand a bit more on the context of managing project access.
The following KB article goes into more detail on managing the Company-Managed project types:
And the following Documentation goes into detail about managing access for a Team-Managed project type:
The link to KB article is not working.
Hi @Marek Soukup ,
