How to add issues to backlog when created from that backlog?

We have one project with multiple boards. Board 1 shows all issues, board 2 shows issues with label="Product 1" and board 3 shows issues with label="Product 2".

Our team is working in board 3. The problem we're having is when we click "create issue" at the bottom of the backlog view (for board 3), this issue will not show up on that backlog.

Is there any way to auto assign the "product 2" label to issues created that way?

welcome to the Atlassian community!

Unfortunately, that "Create issue" is a fast operation so you can't add more information (like description, component and other custom field) so, based on your boards configuration, the created ticket will appear on board 1.

In order to create an issue in a structured way you should use "Create" on the top navigation bar so you can add all the other information, including component, so the issue will be addressed to board 1 and board 2 or 3 based on component field.

The other way is to create ticket through that fast operation on board 1 and then, clicking on it, edit component field based on your rule.

Thanks for your reply! I think we should use the create button instead then. Is it possible to hide the fast operation?

The "fast" operation is quite the opposite now, and quite confusing. I'd say issues added through these fast operations should automatically satisfy the current filter applied A job for the Jira UX team.

unfortunately you can't remove that link. Btw, if you add some other field as mandatory (for example description), when you try to create issue a popup will appear with all fields for that issue type.

I know that is just a workaround.

That workaround might be an option, feels a bit better than having to click the link in the "Issue not visible" message 🤔 It makes sense for label to be mandatory in our project.

how to set create issue option as default at the end of the backlog task list.

I can open it in dialog of course but users tend to only write the summary there and then there is for example no team in the ticket.

What is the way to make it open in dialog as a default? It happens in another project
