Within my automation's 'Comment on Issue' compose box, I tried @{{issue.reporter.displayName}} in an attempt to address the comment to the reporter by name. The copy I received of the comment as posted does not look like the "@" symbol functioned as it normally works when manually typed. Is there a way to include '@reporter' within an automated comment? Thanks for any assistance.
Hey @Kel Hill ,
Going by this previously asked question it seems to work slightly different and based on the accountId (which make sense)

To mention from a comment, please try: [~accountid:{{issue.assignee.accountId}}] If you need to mention a specific person, you will need their id value, which you can get from performing a search or looking at their profile info. [~accountid:thePersonsIdNumber]

[~accountid:thePersonsIdNumber]
For reporter that might then be:
[~accountid:{{issue.reporter.accountId}}]
Thanks @Dirk Ronsmans
@Dirk Ronsmans Does this also work with 'Bulk Edit' option on the comments?
Below works for me to tag the reporter in a comment using automation, but it's not working when using canned response. =(
[~{{issue.reporter}}]
