My team has sprints we label "Services Sprint #X" we're currently on Sprint 21. Suppose I wanted to find out which tickets were in Services Sprint 14- is there a way to query this? I have tried and can't figure it out.
Are you trying to find issues that are in your current open sprint that were also assigned to a previous closed sprint?
This query will return a list of the issues in the open/active sprints that were also in a previous sprint that has been closed.
project=<yourProject> and sprint in openSprints() and sprint in closedSprints()
If you want to get issues that are in a specific sprint, or in multiple specific sprints you can use this filter.
project=<yourProject> and sprint in (<sprintName1>) and sprint in (<sprintName2>)
There's also great reference materials available to assist in structuring your JQL.

Here's the link to Advanced Searching references to Functions like the ones referred to by @Trudy Claspill for openSprints() closedSprints()JQL Functions

I hope this helps you as much as it has helped me over the years.
IMO the best way to find issues in past sprints is by using the Sprint report under Reports.
This was really helpful thank you!
Ish. I was more looking for tickets that were closed in a particular sprint. So I would like to do a search where I say give me all the closed tickets in "Services Sprint 14" and it would return the results. Is there a way to do this?
If you want to find all the tickets that were closed during that sprint you would do something this:
sprint="Services Sprint 14" and resolutionDate>= <plug in the start date of the sprint> and resolutionDate=< <plug in the end date of the sprint>
There is not a native JQL function that will automatically look at the sprint dates and determine if the issue was closed during the sprint or during a later sprint. There might be such a function available from a third party app that extends JQL functionality. There are several such apps available from the Altassian Marketplace.
This worked!! THANK YOU
